Environmental pollution occurred in Tatarstan due to an oil spill.

The incident took place in the village of Tikhonovka, where a loss of pressure integrity occurred in a Tatneft oil pipeline.

As a result, oil entered the river, with the area of contaminated water resources covering approximately 1,200 square metres. In addition, the pollution affected the land, covering nearly 1,400 square metres.
