Cannabis plantation discovered in Luhansk region

The Security Service of Ukraine discovered and destroyed a cannabis plantation in Luhansk region. In total, drug dealers planted the narcotic substance on 2 hectares of land. Some of the bushes reached 3 metres in height.

“У Троїцькому районі Луганської області поблизу села Розсипне Служба безпеки України спільно з міліцією знищила велику плантацію культивованої коноплі. (In Troitsk district of Luhansk region, near the village of Rozsypne, the Security Service of Ukraine, jointly with the police, destroyed a large plantation of cultivated cannabis.)

На ділянці площею майже два гектари було висаджено понад 5600 кущів конопель. Окремі кущі сягали трьох метрів заввишки. (On a plot of land of almost two hectares, more than 5,600 cannabis bushes were planted. Some bushes reached three metres in height.)

Відкрито кримінальне провадження за ч. 2 ст. 310 (посів або вирощування конопель) Кримінального кодексу України. Встановлюється коло осіб, причетних до висадження плантації та виготовлення наркосировини. (A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 310 (sowing or growing cannabis) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The circle of persons involved in planting the plantation and producing narcotic raw materials is being established.)
