Another 150,000 residents evacuated in Los Angeles

More than 150,000 Los Angeles residents have been ordered to evacuate as wildfires spread rapidly across California, CNN reports.

Authorities had previously evacuated nearly 180,000 people from areas threatened by the flames. A further 200,000 people have been warned of possible mandatory evacuation in the coming days.

The most significant damage is being observed in the Palisades and Eaton Canyon areas, where fires have spread over vast territories due to strong winds and drought. As the fire approaches densely populated zones, authorities are strongly urging residents to leave dangerous areas immediately.

Fire services are operating in an intensified mode, with additional forces deployed from neighbouring regions. Temporary shelters have been organised for evacuees, providing food, medical assistance and accommodation.

Meteorologists warn that the situation may deteriorate in the coming days due to continued heat, low humidity and strong winds. Residents of the region are advised to exercise caution, monitor updates from local authorities and comply with all safety measures.
