Underground amber processing workshop shut down in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine has halted the operations of an underground amber processing workshop in one of the private houses in Kyiv's Podil district, where 25 people were working.

The stone was illegally mined in Zhytomyr and Rivne regions and transported to the capital.

During the search, law enforcement officers seized minerals, some of which had already been processed. In addition to amber, nearly 30 machines for stone processing were found in the workshop.

Investigative actions are underway.
