Explosion reported in Kherson

An explosion was heard in Kherson, which had been calm until recently, early this morning. Perpetrators blew up the Presidential Office of Ukraine in Crimea, which had temporarily relocated to Kherson.

An explosive device was placed near the main entrance to the building at 42 Ushakov Avenue.

The explosion damaged the entrance doors and windows. There is no information yet about any damage inside the premises. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions.

It appears that the incident is a reaction to the blockade of Crimea by mainland Ukraine.

This is not the first incident involving this building; previously, unknown individuals set fire to the office's doors.
