Shelter for lyceum in Chornomorsk to cost 98 million hryvnia

The cost of a shelter for a lyceum in Chornomorsk has sparked public outrage. The construction contract was signed with the company "Будівельна фірма Преміумстандартбуд" (Construction Company Premiumstandartbud), yet the estimates for work and materials significantly exceed market rates.

 Specifically, the estimate lists the following inflated rates:

• Concrete — 5,280 UAH per cubic metre, while manufacturers offer it a third cheaper.
• Rebar — 51,000 UAH per tonne, although the actual price is 30% lower.
• Power cable — 1,859 UAH per metre, despite being available on the market for half the price.

 Taking these inflated rates into account, the overpayment for these materials amounts to 7.7 million UAH.

The company has repeatedly been the subject of criticism
The company "Преміумстандартбуд" (Premiumstandartbud) is not the first time to attract attention for inflating prices in tenders. Over the past year, it has received nearly 300 million UAH in state orders, raising questions about the transparency and integrity of its operations.
