Court rejects Ukrnafta's lawsuit

A court hearing was held today regarding the lawsuit filed by Ukrnafta against the Auction Committee over what the company considers an improper barrelisation coefficient used in calculating the starting price of Ukrainian oil.

Ukrnafta's lawyers deemed the coefficient incorrect, arguing that granting the claim could lead to losses for the plaintiff when selling oil at auctions. The losses are estimated at tens of millions of dollars per month.

However, Judge Shulzhenko ruled in favour of the state, denying Ukrnafta's claims.
