Eldar Ryazanov dies

Famous director Eldar Ryazanov has died in the Russian capital at the age of 89. Doctors at one of Moscow's leading clinics fought for Ryazanov's life for just over a week. However, all attempts to save the director were unsuccessful, and his heart stopped in the night from 29 to 30 November.

It is worth noting that on 21 November, Eldar Ryazanov sought medical attention due to shortness of breath, after which he was hospitalised. During the examination, it was found that a large amount of fluid had accumulated in his lung, which had to be drained by puncturing the organ. Following the procedure, Ryazanov developed respiratory failure, and subsequently heart failure. His body could not cope with the strain, and around midnight Moscow time, Eldar Ryazanov died.
