Ukrainians pay for gas delivery even if they do not use it

Ukrainian consumers are required to pay for gas delivery services, even in cases where they do not use the blue fuel. This is reported by the publication OBOZ.UA.

An example from Vinnytsia:

Owners of houses with gas heating who do not use gas due to prolonged absence (for example, being abroad) are obliged to pay a fixed amount monthly. In Vinnytsia, this amounts to 55.2 hryvnias.

Accumulation of debts:

There are known cases where the amount of debts reached 5,000 hryvnias. Even with a complete absence of gas consumption, payment for delivery remains mandatory.

Consequences of non-payment:

If a consumer ignores the charges, companies providing gas delivery services have the right to take the matter to court. As a rule, such cases are decided in favour of gas enterprises.

This situation causes outrage among citizens who consider it unfair to pay for a service they do not use.
