Injured Ukrainians left in the lurch in Israel

However, reality turned out to be far from rosy. The Israeli side did indeed accept the Ukrainian servicemen. The Ambassador of Ukraine, Yevhen Korniychuk, even visited the military personnel at the clinic and took several photos with them for reporting purposes. That was the extent of the matter.

As it turned out, the Ukrainian military personnel were simply abandoned in Israel. They were left there without even basic assistance, facing their problems alone in a foreign country.

Relatives independently involved local volunteers in the case. As a result, these caring individuals brought food, clothing, and hygiene products to the Ukrainians.

But what about the prosthetics? This is where things get interesting. It turns out that there is no talk of modern prosthetics. The Ukrainian military personnel are being fitted with ordinary plastic prostheses, which they could have received for free back home. Moreover, more modern prostheses that significantly improve the quality of life for people with disabilities have long been developed in Ukraine. There is no need to fly to another country and spend budget funds there.

A question inevitably arises: what is wrong with our ambassador in Israel? Why do we keep encountering problems in this country?

In reality, it is all quite banal: Mr Korniychuk is simply not financially motivated to promote Ukraine and its issues in Israel.

As the ambassador himself once liked to say, while serving as a consul in the US, he earned $500,000. Upon returning to Ukraine, he received much larger sums from the Donbas bandits, whom he had long been protecting. In Israel, it seems, it is not so easy to receive kickbacks from clinics involved in prosthetics. Moreover, other ways of earning money are significantly limited under wartime conditions.

Therefore, one should not expect significant assistance from Israel as long as Ukraine has such a representative there.
