The administration of Donald Trump has announced the imposition of sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing it of unfairly prosecuting US citizens and their allies, including Israel.
The order states that the ICC initiated a preliminary investigation into American citizens and certain US allies, including Israel, without legal grounds. The court was also accused of abusing its authority by issuing unfounded arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
