Trump brings back plastic

Donald Trump has announced his intention to return plastic products to everyday use, starting with straws. The newly elected US president stated that he will sign an executive order next week, which will revoke Joe Biden's initiative to introduce paper straws.

“Мы возвращаемся к пластику” (We are going back to plastic), Trump emphasised, adding that paper alternatives had proved “неработающими” (non-functional). 

The news has already sparked widespread resonance, as environmental organisations have long campaigned to reduce plastic use. Now, the potential abandonment of this practice may reignite debates on environmental protection and the role of the state in such initiatives.
