Trump threatens 100% tariffs on BRICS nations for attempting to ditch the dollar

Newly elected US President Donald Trump threatened harsh trade measures against BRICS nations if they attempt to replace the US dollar in international trade.

Any country that tries will face 100% tariffs and say goodbye to access to the American market!) — Trump stated on his platform Truth Social.

BRICS is an international association of major emerging economies. It was established in 2009 and includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Later, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the UAE joined the bloc.
