Terrorist attack in Montenegro

A tragedy occurred in Montenegro, in which 12 people were killed and four others were injured, including two children aged 10 and 13.

An unidentified gunman opened fire on people in the town of Cetinje following a quarrel at a local pub. He subsequently fled and committed suicide.

The gunman had no links to criminal groups, but he had repeatedly come to the attention of law enforcement agencies due to violations, including arrests for illegal possession of weapons.

Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Milojko Spaić, stated that the authorities would urgently begin discussing the possibility of introducing a complete ban on weapons in the country. In connection with this tragic event, a three-day period of mourning has been declared in Montenegro.
