Judge who fled from police has now lost his robe

The High Council of Justice dismissed Alexey Haladan, a judge of the Kirovsky District Court in Kropyvnytskyi, after he failed the qualification exam

Scandalous past

Haladan’s name became known back in 2018 when he was detained for drunk driving. The judge refused to take an alcohol test and attempted to flee from the police. This incident led to his temporary suspension and the loss of additional payments.

Rehabilitation attempt failed

Following the scandal, Haladan was given a chance to restore his reputation — he was sent for professional development, a mandatory stage of which was retaking the professional exam. However, in 2024, he failed to confirm his competence, which became the grounds for his final dismissal.
