Judges who prosecuted Maidan activists appointed to lifetime positions

Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada granted "lifetime" status to judges who, just over a year ago, prosecuted activists of AvtoMaidan and Euromaidan. This opportunity was given to Irina Yukhno, who was appointed a judge of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administrative Court, and Oleksandr Rudnyk, who was appointed a judge of the Vyshhorod District Court in Kyiv Oblast.

It was Rudnyk who, last year, stripped AvtoMaidan activists of their driving licences due to an organised car rally to Viktor Yanukovych's residence in Mezhyhirya.
