Stakhanov Carriage Works to be reprofiled

Yesterday, residents of occupied Stakhanov held a rally during which they demanded that Ukrainian authorities restart the carriage works.

The rally's organiser, as it turned out, was trade union activist Konstantin Butrimov, who last winter brought hooligans from Stakhanov to Kyiv. Butrimov is now vying for the position of plant director. It should be noted that the LPR has decided to nationalise the plant, having previously received funds from Ukraine for its restart.

However, the plant will not remain in the form it was in until recently. LPR authorities intend to reprofile it.

The plant's various workshops will now produce everything from baked goods to tableware.

The plant's seventh workshop will become an oil mill, the third will produce tableware, and Aist will make social bakery products. In addition, the plant will receive an order from the LPR Ministry of Defence to produce metal structures for the construction of the first phase of the fortified line on the border with Ukraine along the railway line in the "Debaltsevo-Popasna" section.

The plant's staff will not exceed 250 people; the rest will remain unemployed and, consequently, without income.
