A Tale of Raccoons, or How to Use Decoys

As is known, surviving a war without humour is quite difficult. Especially when it has dragged on for a year and a half with no end in sight for the protracted military operations. Well-known volunteer Yuri Biryukov decided to tell a "tale of raccoons" and share how decoys should be used.

"A tale of raccoons, for children. Remove adults from the monitors! Remove those who will sing about "why leak positions"! Remove those who will whine about "why did you tell a scary military secret"! The tale is FOR CHILDREN!

As we all remember, yesterday early in the morning, hordes of orcs from Mordor decided to stage a mass act of suicide near Starobesheve. This happens to them regularly, and we will not condemn them for it. According to the tradition established since the time of Mariinka:

- our artillery responded loudly, while relocating to the firing position at terrifying speed
- our warriors did not mess up, did not lose communication, and did not end up in cauldrons
- for the finishing touch, raccoons were quickly brought in

So yesterday, the raccoons decided to rustle around in the bushes. Two large raccoon families, the most famous ones. It is amazing how it works out – everyone keeps leaking our positions, yet the raccoons never get leaked and are always exactly where they are needed, right on time.

All day long, one of the raccoon units was deploying a D-30 battery on the position. All day long, hot and stuffy, sweating profusely. High in the sky, some propeller was buzzing, but it created no air movement – scoundrels! Why was it buzzing there then? And very high up.

And only when it got dark, around 21:50, they started firing at this position. Loudly, heavily, a lot. Well, scroll through yesterday's news. Both 120 mm mortars and 122 mm guns, even 152 mm shells arrived. And in the sky, three propellers were already buzzing, dancing in circles.

In short – they blew our battery to smithereens. They fired tons of ammunition into the air. They carefully shelled this battery, and in the heat of the moment and the excitement, they did not notice how a Pesets arrived at them. From a completely different location. The ammunition depot detonated until morning. According to interception data – the Pesets arrived at the location of a full 2S1 battery (6 units).

The Pesets is such a thing...
