Shokin fires corrupt prosecutors

Ukraine's Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin today dismissed his colleagues Kornietz and Shapakin, whose offices were recently searched and where large sums of cash, as well as diamonds, were found, which were allegedly acquired by complete chance for an aquarium, at least that is what the bribe-taking prosecutor tried to convince everyone.

Recall that after the search, the prosecution attempted to open a case against Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine David Sakvarelidze, who was the initiator of the investigations against Kornietz and Shapakin. However, after the publicity, the case was dropped.
