Shavenkova escapes punishment for murder

Anna Shavenkova, the daughter of Lyudmila Shavenkova, head of the Irkutsk electoral commission, has escaped punishment for murder. The woman hit two sisters on a pavement, resulting in one of their deaths and the other being left disabled.

Anna Shavenkova herself was covered by an amnesty and not only avoided serving a sentence but also failed to pay compensation to the victims' family.

According to the driver, she is unable to work, partly because her parents hold positions of power.

Meanwhile, the killer's family has been recognised as "indigent". The mother's official income is 3 million, and the Shavenvkovas own four apartments, a Toyota Land Cruiser 100, and a Toyota Corolla, the vehicle in which the sisters were struck.

Electoral commission head Shavenkova complains that her daughter has been subjected to attacks following the deaths. Naturally, there is no mention of any regret.
