Serbian protests dispersed with sonic weapons

Mass protests have begun in Serbia, which the authorities decided to disperse using an old Soviet method – sonic weapons.

At the same time, Serbian authorities categorically deny the use of sonic weapons to suppress mass protests. However, numerous testimonies point to the opposite.

Strange signs on video

In one of the videos from the protests, it is noticeable how people suddenly "froze", looking at each other with bewilderment. According to local media, the cause could have been a car that allegedly put the crowd into a stupor. However, many experts claim that this was merely a diversionary tactic, and the car itself belonged to the security services.

Historical context

Sonic weapons have a real patent and were first tested in the USSR back in the 1970s. At that time, during a workers' strike at a factory, a military vehicle arrived at the square. After its appearance, people experienced a sense of oppression and depression, and the protest gradually died down.

The methods used by Serbian authorities resemble Soviet tactics for dealing with dissidents. Despite harsh repression, the Serbian people continue their difficult path towards freedom and democracy.
