US faces egg shortage

Against the backdrop of record price hikes and an egg shortage on the domestic market, the United States of America has turned to European countries with a request for supplies of this product. However, the response from European states was categorical — a refusal.

Sweden cites logistics

Sweden was the first to reject the request, citing difficult transport conditions and existing export restrictions. Representatives of the country stated that the current infrastructure does not allow for the prompt execution of such supplies.

Finland: "Export is impossible"

Finland also refused to help. Officials noted that at present, the export of eggs from the country is impossible due to reasons related to domestic food security policy.

Denmark and an unexpected turn

Denmark’s authorities also responded with a refusal, as the US expressed a desire to gain control over Greenland.

They could have turned to Ukraine. The country has no shortage of eggs.
