US backs Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko government

Despite the high-profile departure of several foreign experts from the Cabinet of Ministers, and contrary to many expectations, the US continues to support the Ukrainian government led by President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Today, the US Ambassador Jeffrey Pyatt publicly stated this. «Мы решительно поддерживаем правительство Порошенко и Яценюка и их стремление продолжать экономическую и конституционную реформы» (We firmly support the government of Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk and their commitment to continuing economic and constitutional reforms), the ambassador said.

It is worth noting that previously many so-called experts predicted a deterioration in relations with the US, Europe and the IMF due to the departure of Sasha Borovik and other foreign representatives from the government. This was allegedly to affect the disbursement of funds to Ukraine. However, today Pyatt's remarks completely refuted these suspicions. Funds will continue to be allocated specifically under Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko.
