SBU prevents hostile takeover of Zaporizhzhia airfield

The Security Service of Ukraine prevented a hostile takeover of the Zaporizhzhia airfield, as well as the assets of the A.I. Pokryshkin Air Marshal Flight Training Centre".

A certain businessman prepared forged documents and, based on them, filed a lawsuit demanding recognition of his ownership rights to the assets of the Zaporizhzhia Flight Training Centre. The court ruled in favour of the enterprising businessman.

The man had already found buyers for more than 150 aircraft belonging to the centre and was planning to dismantle the airfield slabs, which he intended to sell at a profit.

He failed to carry out his plan only due to the intervention of the SBU. A criminal case has been opened in this regard. The judge who issued the unlawful decision, which has already been appealed to a higher instance, will also be held liable.

During investigative measures at the entrepreneur's workplace, documents confirming the fraud were found and seized.
