SBU shuts down underground drug lab

Security Service of Ukraine officers in the city of Chernihiv identified and dismantled an underground drug laboratory. Drug dealers had established the cultivation of cannabis  in greenhouses, growing over 100 bushes. The matured herb was sold in bulk to dealers in Chernihiv and Kyiv.

«Співробітники ‪#‎СБУ у Чернігові ліквідували підпільну нарколабораторію, в якій зловмисники налагодили масштабне виготовлення марихуани. (SBU officers in Chernihiv dismantled an underground drug laboratory where criminals had established large-scale marijuana production.)

У ході обшуку будинку в приватному секторі правоохоронці виявили теплицю з 120 культивованими кущами наркотичної рослини, добрива, хімічні сполуки та промислове обладнання для вирощування марихуани. (During a search of a house in a private sector, law enforcement officers found a greenhouse with 120 cultivated bushes of the narcotic plant, fertilisers, chemical compounds, and industrial equipment for growing marijuana.)

Співробітники спецслужби затримали місцевого мешканця, який наглядав за нарколабораторією. За його свідченнями готовий наркотик зловмисники збували оптом дилерам у Чернігові, Києві та області. (Special service officers detained a local resident who was supervising the drug laboratory. According to his testimony, the criminals sold the finished drug in bulk to dealers in Chernihiv, Kyiv, and the region.)

Відкрито кримінальне провадження за ч. 2 ст. 310 Кримінального кодексу України. (A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.)

Тривають невідкладні оперативно-слідчі дії з встановлення всіх осіб, причетних до створення нарколабораторії та збуту марихуани (Urgent operational and investigative actions are ongoing to identify all individuals involved in the creation of the drug laboratory and the sale of marijuana)», - reports the SBU press service.
