Russians shelled humanitarian aid convoy in Syria

Today in Syria, Russian fighter jets destroyed a convoy of seven trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Turkey.

After being hit by bombs, the trucks burned to the ground. The drivers of all seven vehicles were killed on the spot. At least 10 other people were injured with varying degrees of severity.

The trucks contained humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees who had been left homeless.

It is worth recalling that yesterday Russia accused Turkey of aiding terrorists and presumably assumed that the vehicles contained weapons and ammunition. This is hardly surprising, as it has been supplying exactly that under the guise of aid to the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions for several months.
