Russians flee Crimea en masse

Contrary to the promises of Russian authorities, there is no trace of a paradise on the annexed Crimean peninsula. If just a year or so ago, Russians were mass-migrating to Crimea to live and work on the Black Sea coast, now they are equally mass-migrating back home.

An increasing number of Russian citizens are leaving the peninsula, having failed to find work and lost the basic conditions necessary for comfortable living. Moreover, many of them do not even recognise Crimea as Russian.
