Prosecutor Huzar resigns

It was learned today that controversial First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vladimir Huzar has submitted his resignation. He personally announced this at a briefing at the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to Huzar, he specifically returned from leave to write his resignation letter. The prosecutor plans to subsequently defend his name and family in court from the political attacks he has recently been subjected to.

Viktor Shokin accepted Huzar's resignation, and Sevruk has already been appointed to his position.
