Hostile takeover of ferroalloy plant underway

Today, information emerged about the hostile takeover of a ferroalloy plant located in the settlement of Pobuzhskoye in Kirovohrad Oblast.

On 11 June, around 50 armed men in masks, led by a certain Vakhtang Maskurov from Russia, stormed the enterprise, with the intention of presenting a new director to the staff today.

Данным событиям предшествовали действия кировоградской областной прокуратуры по блокировке растаможки продукции товара компании из ЕС в Ильичевском порту с помощью писем и заказных определений из районного житомирского суда. Вчера перед рейдерскими действиями прокуратура провела синхронно два обыска и выемку в офисах комбината в Киеве и пгт. Побугское Кировоградской области. Таким образом, налицо согласованные действия прокуратуры и рейдеров направленные на захват имущественного комплекса комбината. Просим безотлагательно принять меры для прекращения рейдерских действий в отношении комбината. Данное преступление может вызвать серьезный скандал и нанести репутационный ущерб Украине как стране стремящейся к прозрачным правилам для бизнеса и международных инвесторов. A hostile takeover has taken place, and tomorrow at 10 o'clock, a certain Vakhtang Maskurov from Russia intends to present the new director to the staff. These events were preceded by actions by the Kirovohrad regional prosecutor's office to block the customs clearance of the company's EU goods at the port of Ilyichivsk using letters and registered rulings from a local court in Zhytomyr. Yesterday, prior to the hostile actions, the prosecutor's office conducted two simultaneous searches and seizures at the combine's offices in Kyiv and the settlement of Pobuzhskoye in Kirovohrad Oblast. Thus, there is clear evidence of coordinated actions by the prosecutor's office and the raiders aimed at seizing the combine's asset complex. We urge you to take immediate measures to stop the hostile actions against the combine.
