Right Sector given ultimatum to lay down arms or be destroyed

Not long ago, Anton Gerashchenko publicly stated that the situation in Zakarpattia had been stabilised. In reality, this is temporary. An ultimatum has been issued to the Right Sector: if its fighters in Mukachevo do not lay down their arms by 22:00, special forces will be deployed and they will be destroyed.

A week ago, roughly speaking, Lenyo’s criminal group entered into a conflict with Baloha’s criminal group. Yes, that very Baloha formed a unit under the banner of the Right Sector. The essence of the conflict is control over cigarette smuggling. An interesting point: there were rumours that the SBU was previously not against cooperating with the RS to pressure smugglers. The RS could have been doing a good deed in cooperation with the SBU. But...

The "pravoseki" organised by Baloha apparently decided that pressuring smugglers was simply a reshuffle of influence. The consequences? Today, deep in the rear, near the western border, the Right Sector (they publicly positioned themselves this way, and the organisation’s website apparently confirmed it) are using: UTES, 2 PKMs, AKs, RPG-18s, sniper rifles... This is the rear, which means there are civilians around. The militants have been given an ultimatum to lay down their arms by 22:00. Otherwise, professionals will destroy them,” writes Yuri Kuzmenko.
