Poroshenko backs de-monopolisation of air transport

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has publicly called for the de-monopolisation of air transport. He made the statement at today's National Security and Defence Council meeting.

“At the NSDC meeting, I emphasised the need to de-monopolise the air transport market.

In the world, space tourism will soon cost less than a ticket on certain domestic air routes in Ukraine.

The money is insane, the price is inadequate. The main reason is monopolism, which needs to be overcome!”, Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.

It is worth noting that Odesa Governor Mykhailo Saakashvili previously called for the de-monopolisation of air transport.
