Singer SOWA sparks scandal

To draw attention to her concert, the Lviv-based singer SOWA decided to use a highly dubious and provocative method, touching on the sensitive topic of military registration and conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The performer's sister, along with her friends, dressed in military registration and conscription office (MRCO) uniforms, stopped young men demanding to see their documents, and then invited them to attend the singer's performance.

At first glance, this might have seemed like an original move, but in reality, such an act proved to be inappropriate and unethical. Using the painful topic of mobilisation as a marketing ploy is a direct disregard for public sentiment. The MRCOs, which are associated with a multitude of complex emotions, have been turned into a tool for the mundane purpose of attracting an audience to a concert. This approach evokes not laughter, but indignation. 

However, the goal has been achieved. Just a few days ago, the previously unknown singer SOWA finally became famous thanks to the scandal.
