Another mysterious death of a former Party of Regions member

Yesterday in Kyiv, former Party of Regions member Oleg Kalashnikov, who was expelled from the party for beating a journalist, was killed.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv.

"Сегодня в 19.20 в Киеве по месту жительства было обнаружено тело гр. Калашникова Олега Ивановича. Причиной его смерти стало огнестрельное ранение" ("Today at 19:20, the body of Oleg Ivanovich Kalashnikov was found at his residence in Kyiv. The cause of his death was a gunshot wound"), the press service stated.

Vasyl Paskal, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, took personal control of the investigation into the crime.

This is not the first mysterious death of a former Party of Regions member in recent months.
