Nadiya Savchenko issues ultimatum

Famous pilot and Moscow pre-trial detention centre inmate Nadiya Savchenko, who was abducted and illegally taken to Russian territory, threatened to resume a full hunger strike. If Ukrainian doctors are not granted access to her by Monday, 16 March, Savchenko promised to stop consuming any food again. The cause was the actions of Russian doctors, who brought the woman to the point of acute pancreatitis.

 

«Был у Надежды. Хороших новостей нет. Самочувствие ее лучше не становится, вывод из голодовки проходит неправильно и с осложнениями.» (I visited Nadiya. There is no good news. Her condition is not improving; the process of ending the hunger strike is being handled incorrectly and with complications.)
