Liquid water found on Mars

Today, scientists at NASA made a sensational statement. According to them, liquid water has been found on Mars. This conclusion was prompted by flows that periodically appear on the planet. In the opinion of specialists, the dark streaks on the surface of the "red planet" are saltwater.

Scientists had long been confident that water exists on Mars; however, only a few years ago, thanks to a scientist from Nepal, a hypothesis was put forward that the streaks are traces of water emerging to the surface due to temperature fluctuations.

The salinity of the water is of paramount importance in this context. Without salt, the liquid would freeze on the surface.

According to scientists, water on Mars may originate from subsurface ice.
