Moldova acknowledges record gas debt

Acting head of Moldgaz Vadim Cheban stated that the organisation acknowledges a historical debt to Russia's "Gazprom", amounting to $709 million.

He clarified that, at present, all necessary documents, including reconciliation statements, confirm this liability, which was formed on the right bank of the Dniester. 

According to Cheban, the debt is officially recorded in the company's financial statements and remains valid. "All documents have been signed and properly executed," he noted during an appearance on TV8.
