Migrants rush to cross US border before Trump inauguration

Hundreds of migrants are heading towards the US, hoping to cross the border before Donald Trump's inauguration, Reuters reports.

Journalists encountered a full migrant caravan in southern Mexico, just 1,500 km from the US border. Migrants are actively appealing to the incoming president not to close the border to them, fearing that changes in immigration policy may prevent them from entering the US.

Trump, as is well known, promised during his election campaign that on his first day in office as president, he would sign an executive order to close the border to illegal migrants and begin mass deportations of foreign nationals, including entire families.
