Interior Ministry seizes amber worth $3 million

The Interior Ministry seized a shipment of illegally mined amber weighing 2.5 tonnes overnight, which was already scheduled for export abroad. Preliminary data values the seized goods at $3 million. This was announced by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.

Этой ночью специальная группа МВД в Ровенской области задержала более 2,5 тонн (!) незаконно добытого солнечного камня, упакованного для отправки за рубеж. (Tonight, a special Interior Ministry team in Rivne Oblast seized over 2.5 tonnes (!) of illegally mined sunstone, packed for export abroad.)

Рекордная по объему партия задержанного янтаря стоит по предварительной оценке около трех миллионов долларов (3 000 000 $)!!! Более точно - вес и состав камней по фракциям, готовящейся к контрабанде партии и его стоимость определят эксперты на месте в Киеве, куда груз следует сейчас при вооруженной охране. (The record-volume shipment of seized amber is valued at approximately $3 million (3,000,000 $)!!! More precisely, experts will determine the weight and composition of the stones by fraction, as well as the value of the shipment being prepared for smuggling, on site in Kyiv, where the cargo is currently being transported under armed guard.)

Эта большая, подготовленная операция МВД и ДФС по разоблачению и пресечению действий крупнейшей преступной группы, действующей в Ровенской области и паразитирующей на незаконной добыче янтаря. Будет продолжение, появятся фамилии – в прошлом известного одиозного депутата П., продажные правоохранители и чиновники.. – мы свою работу будем делать. Но!.. НУЖНО, как уже писал ранее - принимать закон, регулирующий государственный контроль, добычу и сбыт янтаря!
