Communists obstruct installation of memorial to Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred

Among those killed just over a year ago at Maidan, among the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, was Crimean resident Sergey Kemsky. The young man was at Maidan from the first days and fell to the hand of a sniper who shot him in the neck.

 

Sergey's family moved from Kerch to the city of Korosten in Zhytomyr Oblast several years ago. Tomorrow at 15:00, hearings will be held in the meeting hall of the Korosten City Council regarding the construction of a monument on the central square.

 

The city's public and the family asked the city council to install a memorial to the Heavenly Hundred, and to Sergey Kemsky. However, local deputies, consisting mainly of communists and members of the former "Party of Regions", refused the public and Sergey's family, deciding on 7 April to "push through" the establishment of a monument to Volodymyr the Great.

 

The hero's mother asked to tell as many people as possible about this. In her opinion, this might help the city deputies reconsider their opinion.
