Hamas responds to Israel's accusations of ceasefire violation

This morning, we published news that Netanyahu stated the peace agreement had been breached by Hamas.

However, a few hours later, the Hamas movement confirmed its readiness to comply with the terms of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by Izat al-Rashk, a member of the organisation's political bureau, according to Al Jazeera.

“Hamas remains committed to the ceasefire agreement announced by the mediators,” the movement's official statement reads.

Thus, the organisation commented on Israel's recent statement, which alleged that Hamas had renounced a number of agreements at the final stage of the negotiations.

At present, information regarding the disagreements between the parties remains uncertain. However, Hamas representatives emphasised their intention to adhere to the agreements reached, indicating a desire to avoid an escalation of the conflict.

Previously, ceasefire negotiations were conducted with the participation of international mediators, including Egypt and Qatar. These efforts are aimed at stabilising the situation in the region and preventing further civilian casualties.
