Kharkiv mayoral candidate Yuriy Krol was detained by police in Kyiv yesterday while drunk at the wheel of an SUV. The vehicle was parked in a prohibited area.
During the conversation with police, the man behaved inappropriately, alternating between swearing and laughing for no reason. At the same time, Krol categorically refused to present documents to the law enforcement officers.
Having failed to find common ground with the offender, the police had to handcuff the mayoral candidate.
Upon being released, Krol claimed that he was not drunk and had not been driving at all, although the video recorded by the police suggests the opposite.
It is worth noting that Yuriy Krol is considered a technical candidate for the position of Kharkiv mayor.
