KRAIL to cease to exist by 10 February

Daniil Hetmanets, head of the parliamentary committee on customs and tax policy, shared details of the reorganisation of Ukraine's gambling industry regulator.

According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers will determine today which ministry will take control of the gambling sector. The Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) is planned to be dissolved and a new body established within two weeks.

Under the plan, the new regulator is expected to begin operations by 1 April, while the launch of the gambling business monitoring system is anticipated by 30 September. 

However, previous attempts to implement the system were accompanied by numerous promises and delays. Despite the availability of technical documentation, the project's implementation faces bureaucratic and organisational obstacles.
