Italian MPs propose bill to withdraw from WHO

Representatives of the right-wing League party, along with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, announced the submission of a bill to the Senate proposing the country's withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The bill was introduced by the MPs in response to US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the WHO.

According to the ANSA news agency, the bill's initiators expressed hope for support from the League's allies in the Italian government and stated their goal of creating a domino effect following Trump's moves.
