President of Latvia Hospitalised

This morning, the President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis was hospitalised at Riga East Clinical Hospital.

The head of state’s participation in all public events has been cancelled.

How long Raimonds Vējonis will remain in the clinic, as well as his diagnosis, have not yet been disclosed. The situation is likely serious, and treatment is expected to last more than a day.
