Cabinet of Ministers suspends head of State Aviation Service

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine suspended Denis Antonyuk, head of the State Aviation Service, from performing his official duties pending the completion of an official investigation.

 “Відсторонити Антонюка Дениса Юрійовича від виконання повноважень за посадою Голови Державної авіаційної служби України до завершення службового розслідування” (Suspend Denis Yuriovych Antonyuk from performing the duties of the Head of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine until the completion of the official investigation), – this information was published today on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Shortly before this, the parliamentary committee on transport issues sent materials to the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the actions of the State Aviation Service leadership. According to the committee, Antonyuk is facilitating the monopolisation of the air transport market by MAU, the company of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.

Notably, just a few years ago, Antonyuk worked for the businessman’s company.
