Prosecutors say they know where Chernushenko is

Yesterday, members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted by a majority to grant consent for the detention and arrest of Kyiv Court of Appeal judge Anton Chernushenko.

This morning, it became known that he had fled. According to colleagues, he did not show up at his workplace in the morning. His wife claims he is on leave, although no one at the court is aware of this, and no leave had been scheduled.

Immediately, accusations were levelled at the General Prosecutor's Office, claiming it had let the corrupt judge slip through the net. The department's press service stated that it knows where the fugitive judge is located, but declined to specify his whereabouts.

Chernushenko likely managed to leave the country.
