Filatov called Chetchev's act a "cowardly escape"

Tonight was filled with terrifying events. Russian opposition figure Boris Nemtsov was killed, and former Party of Regions member Mikhail Chetchev took his own life. A mass of rumours and versions has already started circulating around these two deaths. More and more people are voicing their thoughts and assumptions. Among them is well-known Ukrainian People's Deputy Boris Filatov.

Немцова убил не Путин. Его убила Россия. Лживая, трусливая, мстительная и подлая страна. Страна, разбудившая своих демонов. Демонов, которые ее и похоронят. (It was not Putin who killed Nemtsov. Russia killed him. A lying, cowardly, vengeful and treacherous country. A country that has awakened its demons. Demons that will bury it.)

Но я не уверен, что у кремлевской клики найдется хоть капля здравого смысла найти настоящих убийц. Кадыровцев или волосатых недоносков из "байкеров" а-ля стайл бар "Голубая устрица". (But I am not sure that the Kremlin clique will have even a drop of common sense to find the real killers. Kadyrovites or hairy premature babies from the "bikers" in the style of the "Blue Oyster" bar.)

Скорее всего они "найдут" правосеков и бендеровцев и будут биться в падучей со всех телевизоров. (Most likely, they will "find" Pravy Sektor and Banderites and will have fits on all the TV channels.)

Но меня не интересует Россия. (But I am not interested in Russia.)

Уже как год. Настоящий хохол всегда должен думать о России только через призму старого анекдота: "Забор есть? Тогда заливай бетоном" (For a year now. A real Khokhol must always think about Russia only through the prism of an old joke: "Is there a fence? Then pour it with concrete.")

Так вот я о Чечетове. (So, about Chetchev.)

Говорят, что о мертвых или хорошо или ничего. Неправда. Каждый из нас должен прожить так, чтобы после того, как он сдохнет, на его могилу не пришли и не плюнули. (They say that about the dead, one should speak well or not at all. That is a lie. Each of us must live in such a way that after he dies, people do not come to his grave and spit on it.)

Миша Чечетов был чОртом. Он не мог существовать в системе координат, когда нет жопы в которую он мог бы уткнуться своим длинным и лживым языком. (Misha Chetchev was a devil. He could not exist in a coordinate system where there is no arse into which he could stick his long and lying tongue.)

Система координат исчезла и Миша, как в той старой песне Макаревича решил "полетать по ночам". (The coordinate system disappeared, and Misha, like in that old Makarevich song, decided to "fly at night".)

Это не был осознанный поступок сильного человека, сделавшего свой выбор между Бытием и Небытием. Это был трусливый побег чорта от реальности. (This was not a conscious act of a strong person who made his choice between Being and Non-Being. It was a cowardly escape of a devil from reality.)

Миша, это - не Юля Тимошенко. И не Юра Луценко. Я не люблю их обоих, но они с честью прошли свой путь и свою Голгофу. (Misha, this is not Yulia Tymoshenko. And not Yurii Lutsenko. I do not like either of them, but they walked their path and their Golgotha with honour.)

А Миша - это чорт. Как и большинство бл***ей, которыми он дирижировал из партера. (And Misha is a devil. Like most of the b***es he conducted from the stalls.)

Shortly before Chetchev's suicide, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine stated that the prosecution has evidence of the former Party of Regions member's illegal activities in his position as head of the state property fund.
