Yevhen Udod on changing his surname and fleeing to Poland

Yesterday, some media outlets published a story claiming that the chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Yevhen Udod, had changed his surname and fled to Poland. According to the publications, the politician had purchased an "estate" in the suburbs of Warsaw. The reaction from the regional council head himself  was not long in coming.

“Dear fellow countrymen, greetings from Jerzy Udodzki!!!! Apparently, that is what I am now called according to the version of the mega-internet publication.

You know, I have always known that journalism is the second oldest profession. And this is a vivid example of the symbiosis of the first and second professions at once. There is nothing to comment on here. However, one cannot deny the author's sense of humour, so I will not sue them. After all, who knows what funny things people might write on a fence out of stupidity. Moreover, it will be interesting to see how the regional fence-copycats behave.

P.S. But my surname is correctly translated into Polish as Dudek. Jerzy Dudek. By the way, football fans know who that is.
