Dmitry Khvorostovsky returns to the stage again

Renowned opera singer Dmitry Khvorostovsky has returned to the stage again after being diagnosed with brain cancer in early summer and undergoing a heavy course of treatment.

Recently, the singer performed in New York on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera alongside opera diva Anna Netrebko. The artists performed the leading roles in Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Il trovatore”. Two similar performances by Khvorostovsky are scheduled for the near future, after which the artist will likely take another pause in his touring activities.

Following his treatment in England, Dmitry Khvorostovsky feels significantly better, although it is still too early to speak of a full recovery.
