Saboteurs planned to kill BPP MP

Today in Odesa Oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a sabotage group consisting of 27 people.  Grenade launchers, as well as maps of infrastructure facilities in the city and region, were found and seized from the saboteurs.

 

According to SBU head Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, two of the detained members of the sabotage group are suspected of organising an assassination attempt on a People's Deputy of Ukraine from Petro Poroshenko's Block. The organisers were ready to pay 150,000 US dollars for the deputy's head.

 

It emerged that the saboteurs planned an assassination attempt on the deputy, who had recently been detained by Russian police in Moscow during a march in memory of the killed opposition figure Boris Nemtsov – Oleksandr Goncharenko.

 

After his release, Oleksandr Goncharenko promised to sue Russian law enforcement officials. It is not ruled out that the planned assassination attempt  is revenge for his stance.

Although many are convinced that this is merely an attempt to whitewash Goncharenko, who was a member of the Party of Regions until very recently.
